What's included

Everything in one number

All processing fees included

No hidden charges on top. The 4% is everything — payment processing is bundled in.

Direct to your bank

Net revenue is deposited directly to your nominated account. Bookatoo does not hold your funds.

Free for free courses

Internal training or $0 community events carry no platform fee. Only paid tickets are charged.

Add-ons

Pay only for what you turn on

Each add-on is enabled at the course level. An organisation only pays for the features active on a given course — not a global setting, not a bundle.

$10 / ticket

Online learning module

Attach a structured pre-course or self-paced learning module — text, images, video and links. For fully online courses, this is the course itself. Learners complete it at their own pace before or instead of attending in person.

$5 / ticket

Verified & individualised certificate

Design your own certificate template. Issue each learner a certificate with a unique verification code traceable back to your course centre. Anyone can confirm its authenticity at bookatoo.com/verify/[code] — showing the learner's name, course, organisation, and completion date.

$4 / ticket

Certificate expiry & renewal reminders

Set an expiry window on the certification (e.g. 12 months). Admins get a live expiry dashboard, and learners receive automated renewal reminder emails before their certification lapses.

$5 / ticket

Course exam

Add a pre-course, post-course, or both exams. Set pass marks, number of attempts, and pass percentages per exam. Exams are automatically marked and reported in the faculty dashboard. Optionally gate certificate release on a passing score.

$5 / ticket

Course sharing premium

Share your courses with other centres and earn a royalty fee with every ticket sold. All exam results and feedback are shared with both the Course Owner and the hosting centre — so you can keep an eye on quality as your courses reach a wider learner community.

How it works

Enable add-ons when you create or edit a course. The fee applies per ticket sold on that course — no monthly bundle, no unused features.

FAQ

Common questions

What counts as a "ticket sold"?

Any booking completed through Bookatoo. Free courses (e.g. internal training with a ticket price of $0) carry no platform fee. Cancelled bookings that result in a full refund are not charged.

When do I get paid?

Your funds are deposited directly to your nominated bank account. Payouts follow the standard payment processing schedule (typically 2–7 business days depending on your bank). Bookatoo does not hold your funds.

Can I add add-ons mid-run?

Add-ons are set at the course level before tickets go on sale. Once a run is live and bookings exist, add-ons cannot be changed for that run — only for future runs of the same course.

Do learners pay the Bookatoo fee?

The fee structure is between Bookatoo and the organisation. You set the ticket price your learners see — the platform fee is deducted from your revenue, not added to the learner's checkout total.

What's the difference between a course exam and an in-module quiz?

In-module quizzes (available with the Online learning module add-on) are learning triggers — they help learners engage with content but have no pass rate, no gate, and no formal result. The Course exam ($5/ticket) is a separate formal assessment with configurable pass mark, number of attempts, and optional certificate gating.

Can I host another organisation's course?

Yes — if they've made it available to host and you're on a Provider or Platform subscription. The $5/ticket course sharing premium is added automatically on all tickets you sell. You set your own ticket price independently of the Course Owner.
